About Design & Staging Network

I started my first real estate job when I was in high school, and continued working in many capacities for the next 10 years. But I just wasn’t satisfied sitting behind a desk answering phones and filing papers. I started this adventure trying to figure out that ah so famous conundrum “what should I do with my life”…So I applied to architectural design school. Learning all the mathematical equations on how to draw a blueprint, it bored me. In 2007 I graduated, and decided I was so much more creative then lines on a piece of paper. I started with small projects like refinishing furniture. The challenge was exciting enough to continue to explore. I had my very first project with a tenant occupied 30 year rental. Nothing had ever been touched, and it was bad, really really bad. I got my hands on that and never looked back. I gutted the whole house, and with very low funds I managed to work with a handyman to guide me in the “how to’s”, and did all the work myself. From there, this got me interested in interior design and staging. Taking what limited assets I had to work with and creating a comfortable welcoming place for my clients to spend their lives living.

“If you limit your choice only to what seems possible or reasonable, you disconnect yourself from what you truly want, and all that is left is a compromise.”

― Robert Fritz

Much later in life I attempted what I consider to be my biggest challenge, earning my real estate license. It was scary to not be able to predict the future, but I took the leap anyways. After many tries I passed the California real estate exam in July 2016 with the support of my amazing husband Brett and my family and friends believing there is no wall I cant climb. Combining my love for interior design and my professional knowledge of working in the real estate business for 20 years I have began my staging career. And I am really excited for all I have to share.
